There are so many different types of abrasive materials - what is the best product for each tool in the bodyshop?
Use with Random Orbital Sanders:
- Cubitron II Abrasive Discs give excellent abrasive performance and a consistent finish for sanding applications.
- Blue Abrasive Discs deliver best-in-class performance at every stage of paint prep and coatings removal. Available with Hook-it and Stikit
- Purple Finishing Film (260L) for removing defects in paint (levelling orange peel, removing dust nibs or runs).
- Trizact Foam Discs Help refine the finest sanding scratches ahead of the polishing process.
Use with Sheet Sanders and Hand Blocks:
- Cubitron II Abrasive Sheets deliver sustained cut and consistent finish.
- Blue Sheet Rolls made with premium aluminum oxide mineral is blended with ceramic grain for a full range of sanding applications. Available with Hook-it and Stikit
Hand sanding – What products can be used to sand a car by hand?
- Flexible Abrasive Hand Sheets are a thin, flexible film-backed abrasive which can be used wet or dry, by hand or on a tool (thanks to the hookit backing).
- Scotch-Brite Durable Flex Hand Pad combines ultra flexibility with effective cutting action and precise hand control to accomplish tough cleaning jobs or produce fine finishing results.
- Wetordry Abrasive Sheet 401Q designed for sanding applications that require a fine grit and a light touch, such as auto body wet sanding and paint finishing. In fine grades 1000 to 3000.
- Wetordry Abrasive Sheet 213Q designed for sanding applications that require a fine grit and a light touch, such as auto body wet sanding and paint finishing. In grades P220-P800.
- Softback Sanding Sponge sands hard-to-reach areas on vehicles
