What is 3M Adhesive Mix Monitor?
3M Adhesive Mix Monitor is a system that can provide real-time feedback on mix quality for 2-part adhesives at the point of dispense. It is composed of multiple components: a disposable sensor which screws into the end of the static mixer, a processing unit which converts the raw data collected by the disposable sensor into usable information, and an amplifier/reader cable which connects the sensor to the processing unit.
What do I need to use the 3M Adhesive Mix Monitor? 
• A power outlet within 2.0 meters of your dispensing station

• A computer with an internet connection is required to download the Adhesive Mix Model. The Adhesive Mix Model is loaded onto the processing unit from the computer via a USB-B to USB-A cable, however, no internet connection is needed to load the model or to use the system

All components of the 3M Adhesive Mix Monitor system:

• Processing Unit

• Reader/Amplifier Cable

• Disposable Sensor (Low Volume or Standard Volume)

• USB-B cable or IEC 61131-9 cable (if streaming data)
How does an Adhesive Mix Model work?
The Adhesive Mix Model provides an approximation of the current mix quality of a specific 2-part adhesive based on the measurements collected by the disposable sensor. Based on 3M's understanding of the material properties of a mixed adhesive, we are able to provide an estimate of the mix ratio as well as whether the adhesive is freshly mixed.
Why do I need a different mix model for each adhesive? 
Each Adhesive Mix Model is specific to a 3M adhesive. The disposable sensor is sensitive to differences in material and the collected measurements from one adhesive will likely be significantly different from another adhesive.
