3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP420NS WS is a two-part adhesive built on the proven bond performance of the DP420 platform and featuring an enhanced non-sag formulation to help keep adhesive in place on vertical and overhead surfaces. Its 2:1 mix ratio formula dispenses as a black, viscous adhesive containing spacer beads that help provide controlled flow and help maintain a consistent bond line thickness. This adhesive provides a 20-minute working time that supports repositioning for accurate component placement during assembly.
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP420NS WS is engineered to resist impact, fatigue, and vibration, making it well suited for structural bonding of metals, composites, ceramics, glass, and plastics. Formulated for durability, it maintains bond performance in demanding service conditions, including exposure to humidity, extreme environmental temperatures, diesel, gasoline, salt water, and water. It reaches handling strength in approximately 2.5 hours and can also be heated to accelerate cure, providing flexibility for variable curing workflows. It is designed to meet UL 94 HB requirements, helping manufacturers comply with industrial regulation requirements. This adhesive can tolerate exposures of up to 392 °F (200 °C) for up to 30 minutes, making it compatible with common paint bake processes. Typical applications include panel bonding, potting, composite assembly, and structural bonding in metalworking, transportation, sporting goods, marine, and general industrial manufacturing. It is available in bulk and in Duo-Pak cartridges in 1.69 fl oz (50 ml), 6.76 fl oz (200 ml), and 14.07 fl oz (400 ml) sizes. It is compatible with the 3M™ EPX™ Applicator System for accurate metering, mixing, and dispensing.
