Machine Sanding and Polishing with 3M OEM Paint Repair Solutions
Clearcoat is sprayed on top of a colored basecoat and is a glossy transparent coating that forms the final interface with the environment.

Step 1: Machine Sanding
- Level/remove the defect using a Mini Orbital Sander and Film Disc.
- Spray the disc with water to prevent the abrasive from loading during sanding^
- Sand the defect for 1-3 seconds, depending on its size
- Wipe the area clean

Step 2: Polishing
- Apply a small drop of polish on the sanded area
- Spread the polish evenly over the spot using the buffing pad, without running the buffer
- Polish for 9-12 seconds
- Wipe the area clean
