3M Aerospace certifications
3M’s Aerospace business centers and manufacturing locations globally hold a variety of quality system registration certificates. Many of the manufacturing sites are certified to AS/EN9100 and distribution centers are certified to AS/EN9120. Each certificate identifies the site certificate scope in terms of product families. In general, central business functions and product design occur in the corporate headquarters in St. Paul, MN USA and European regional business centers while manufacturing occurs globally at specific plant sites.

Federal Aviation Administration Parts Manufacturer Approval (FAA PMA)
3M Aerospace is a FAA PMA Holder (PQ04414CE, granted 7-21-2019). This approval is currently applicable for the Surface Protection family of products (including Polyurethane Protective Tapes and Boots and Corrosion Protection Films).

Nadcap
Nadcap Management Council certifies that 3M Springfield demonstrates conformance and recognition of accreditation (PDF, 513 KB) for specific services for Non Metallic Materials Manufacturing. This plant also has accreditation (PDF, 490 KB) to perform sealant manufacturing for bulk drums/pails, can kits, injection kits, and premix frozen (PMF.)
Nadcap Management Council certifies that 3M Hutchinson demonstrates conformance and recognition of accreditation (PDF, 508 KB) for Non Metallic Materials Manufacturing.

3M Springfield holds a certificate of registration (PDF, 576.06 KB) and operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 and is assessed in accordance with AS9104/1 for the manufacture of liquid film adhesives, sealants and fire protection products for industrial, aerospace, military, construction, and commercial applications.
3M Aberdeen holds a certificate of registration (PDF, 684 KB) and operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 and is assessed in accordance with AS9104/1 for the manufacture of aerospace tapes, protective boots for thermoform and related products.
3M St. Paul holds a certificate of registration (PDF, 570 KB) and operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 and is assessed in accordance with AS9104/1 for the design, development and commercialization of adhesives, composite and engineered products, surface protection materials, sealants, and related products.
3M Hutchinson holds a certificate of registration (PDF, 579 KB) and operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 and is assessed in accordance with AS9104/1 for the manufacture of coated adhesives films for aerospace applications.
3M Menomonie holds a certificate of registration (PDF, 576 KB) and operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 and is assessed in accordance with AS9104/1 for the manufacture of ceramic fiber and film products intended for use in the aviation, space and defense industries.
