Polyurethane protective boot on aircraft

3M™ Polyurethane Protective Boots

FIND A 3M™ BOOT

Aircraft paint coating damage exposes the underlying composite substrate which may lead to delamination and expensive repairs. 3M™ Polyurethane Protective Boots are your first line of defense against rain, sand erosion and particle impact, protecting vital exterior substrates against erosion which may lead to potential delamination. Our portfolio of products provide significantly more protection than typical aircraft paint coatings and extends the service life and appearance of the aircraft.

Choose from hundreds of thermoformed boots to meet your business, commercial, general aviation, transport or military needs. Commercial polyurethane protective tape thermoformed boots can be shipped with a FAA 8130-3 tag and/or a COA that corresponds with the applicable specification from the order.

Use the 3M™ Polyurethane Protective Boots Selector below to quickly find a boot. If you have further questions or would like to place an order, please contact a 3M aerospace specialist at 1-800-235-2376 or aero_csr@mmm.com.
