3M™ Cocurable Polyurethane Erosion Resistant Films
Protect your aircraft from abrasion, erosion and particulate impacts. These films are designed to be cured into the composite part during fabrication using the resin system of the composite part being manufactured. This material may also be post bonded to composite parts using a 3M adhesive film. Erosion protection can be tailored to the expected erosion intensity by curing a thinner version over a thicker version while not creating a step height change in the installed protection. Our low sag, UV stable urethane repair pastes provide exceptional erosion resistance when used to edge seal films or repair urethane tapes. These pastes are fast-curing, when accelerated with localized heat source. They are available in both clear and black and intended for use on painted substrates.
