  • How do I access secured applications?

    Click on the Please Sign In link which is available in the upper right area on all Supplier Direct pages. The secured applications will appear after Sign In within their respective categories/pages, provided you have been granted access to one or more of them. You can also find them under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the pages.

  • How do I get authorization to access secured applications?

    Contact your 3M representative for more information and instructions regarding access to secured applications and/or information.

  • Can I use my email address as my login ID?

    If you do not have IPM access, then yes, you can log in with your email address. This will be automatic if you registered for access since June 10, 2013. If, however, you registered before that date, you probably have a user name you determined yourself. If you would like to be able to sign in with your email address instead of the previously determined user name, log in to Supplier Direct, click on your name in the upper right of the screen, then click on "My Account." This will display your profile where you can then click on a button labeled "Enable Email Login" and Save. You will now be able to log in with your email address as your User Name.

    One exception to this is relative to IPM access. If you have access to IPM, you will not be able to use your email address to log in, rather you must use a system assigned User Name which you would have received, along with other detailed instructions, at the time of acquiring access to IPM Portal.

  • I know I have IPMp access so why am I having trouble logging into the IPM system?

    Over the past few years 3M has taken additional pro-active security measures to protect against improper access to 3M systems and data. We initially implemented "MFA" (Multi-Factor Authentication). The most recent implementation has been the requirement that users change their password every 90 days. This has caused log-in issues and confusion.

    If/when you run into any issues logging into IPM through our Supplier Direct website, or you simply need a password reset, please follow these steps:

    1. Call the 3M IT Help Desk at +1 (651) 733-2000 (available 24x7)
    2. Identify yourself as an EXTERNAL user.
    3. Provide your system User Name.
    4. Describe your problem and/or request a password reset.

    Our Help Desk representatives are the only individuals who can complete password resets, as well as MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) setups and updates.

  • When accessing 3M ERP, I'm experiencing a blank screen or missing functionality; what can I do?
    This is probably due to the browser you are using. Currently, 3M ERP supports the browsers Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) and MS Edge. If you are using other types of browsers, please note that 3M ERP may run with some missing functionality. We strongly recommend you use the IE11 or MS Edge browsers to access the 3M ERP.
