Key Features of the 3M™ Advanced Filtering Face Mask

How to wear the 3M™ Advanced Filtering Face Mask

  • Illustration of man donning mask.

    Open the face mask, then put it on so the foam and noseclip is across the bridge of nose. Ensure it covers the nose and chin.

    Pull each side band behind the head and attach with hook to secure the position.

    Press the noseclip toward your nose, then using the fingers of both hands, form the noseclip to the shape of the nose.

  • Man covering mask with both hands then breathing out quickly to check for any air leaks.

    To check for proper positioning, cover the face mask with both hands then breathe out quickly. Check for warm air leaking at the edges or at the nose position and if so, repeat steps 1-4 to reduce leakage.
