How to wear the 3M™ Filtering Barrier Face Covering

How to wear the 3M™ Filtering Barrier Face Covering
  • A person securing the face covering to their face using the noseclip.

    Open the face covering, then put it on so the foam and noseclip is across the bridge of nose. Ensure it covers the nose and chin.

  • A person pulling the side bands behind their head and securing using the clip.

    Pull each side band behind the head and secure the position as shown.

  • A person pressing the noseclip towards their nose shaping it to their face.

    Press the noseclip toward your nose, then using the fingers of both hands, form the noseclip to the shape of the nose.

  • A person checking the position of their mask by covering the product with their hands and breathing quickly.

    To check for proper positioning, cover the product with both hands then breathe out quickly. Check for warm air leaking at the edges or at the nose position and if so, repeat steps 1-4 to reduce leakage.
