Stop Use and Remediation Notice Select 3M™ H-700 Vented Hardhats

As part of 3M Personal Safety Division’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality safety equipment, we are providing this notice to notify our customers of the following information related to certain 3M™ H-700 Vented Hardhats.

During an internal review, 3M identified an incorrect Spanish-language marking on a limited number of hardhats. These hardhats are ANSI Type I, Class C rated and correctly marked per ANSI Z89.1 requirements.

However, in some instances, the Class (Clase) marking in the Spanish translation area does not reflect the correct ANSI Class.

This label marking issue could result in the hardhat being used in an electrical application for which it was not designed or rated to be used. These vented hardhats are ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 Class C rated and not designed for protection against contact with electrical hazards.

Please reference the directions in the notice, linked below, to determine the products that are impacted by this notice and any remediation directions.

There have been no reports of injuries, accidents, or complaints associated with this notice.
