Capital Safety acquisition

Dear Valued Channel Partner,

It is a very exciting time within 3M Personal Safety Division, as we work hard to combine Capital Safety Fall Protection channel organization with 3M PSD’s U.S. Channel. The combined organization will be cross-trained on both PSD products and Capital Safety fall protection products over the next few months. This combined approach is to help serve our distribution as one organization and enable a stronger value proposition.

We want to provide a brief update regarding future plans and some of the changes that are taking place.

• 2015 & 2016 Merchandise Plans: Current 2015 merchandise plans for both 3M and Capital Safety will not change and will remain in effect for the remainder of the year. We are working diligently to establish combined merchandise plan as we move into 2016.
• 3M & Capital Safety Channel Managers: The newly combined organization was recently announced and if there are changes to your representative, you will be personally notified by those individuals.
• Customer Service: No change to your representatives for both Capital Safety and 3M. Your orders are to be placed separately, just like you do today.
• Supply chain: No change. Distribution will remain in existing locations.
