A carrier in the middle lets you bond with different adhesives for different substrates as well as providing a more stable configuration for even the most complicated designs.

3M™ Bonding Tapes for bonding and assembly

Open up the possibilities for reliable hold under tough conditions with different adhesives or more complicated die cuts. 3M™ Double Coated Tapes feature an internal carrier such as polyester film, tissue or paper, which is coated on both sides with specialty formulated adhesive and then matched to a removable liner. These tapes have more dimensional stability than adhesive transfer tapes and can be applied manually or with automated equipment. Converters can cut these tapes into custom sizes and shapes to meet your exact needs and specifications.

3M™ Conformable Double Coated Tapes

Advanced engineering enables new levels of performance for double coated PET tapes. Conformability, drop resistance and shock absorption are all dramatically improved with 3M’s proprietary adhesive and carrier technologies, making them ideal for bonding lenses and more.
3M™ Double Coated Tapes for Foam Applications

Modified acrylic adhesives specifically designed to make bonding easy to almost any foam substrate, including polyurethane (PU) ether, PU ester, cross-linked polyethylene (PE) foam, EPDM foam, neoprene foam, nitrile foam, microcellular urethane, neoprene rubber and butyl rubber.
3M™ Ultra Clear Double Coated Tape UCT-50

So clear it practically disappears, this ultra-clear, ultra-thin tape is produced in a clean room to be free of dirt, dust and debris. Ideal for phone lens attachments, screen displays, touch screens and backlit graphics, this tape offers excellent tack, adhesion and dimensional stability.
