The only known orbital sanding range with 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular-shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through substrates, rather than gouging or ‘plowing’ like conventional abrasives.

Pneumatic Random Orbital SanderThis 3M Xtract™ Pneumatic Random Orbital Sander is a self-generated vacuum. It uses the inlet air to create its own venturi vacuum that extracts the dust from the work surface and expels it through a wide collection port on the back of the tool into a filter bag.

Results are based on total cut over four × ninety-second cycles on an automated test with maple material using 5 inch (127 mm) 80 grit discs and 3M™ Hookit™ Low Profile Disc Pad 20352. Factors affecting disc performance include (but are not limited to) tool type and performance, tool orbit, disc back-up pad, grade, substrate, operator pressure, and dust extraction system. Achieving more than 2× is possible with an optimized system.
² Lasts up to six times as long: Compared to 3M Aluminum Oxide Abrasive Products. Results are based on total cut over twenty-four × ninety-second cycles on an automated test with maple material using 5 inch (127 mm) 180 grit discs and 3M™ Hookit™ Low Profile Disc Pad 20352.
