For over 50 years, 3M has been developing and perfecting adhesive sealants for marine applications.
Whether you’re boatbuilding, maintaining a fleet or repairing a single watercraft, you expect your adhesive sealants to create watertight seals. But the right ones will do much more. They will resist weathering, shock, vibration, swelling and shrinkage over time. It also means they will earn your trust. 3M designs quick-applying, long-lasting adhesives and sealants for specific conditions – below the waterline, topside and everywhere in between, on virtually any surface you can find on your boat. We have spent more than 50 years developing marine sealant and adhesive solutions, and proving them in a vast variety of applications. Explore how we can help keep you afloat, today and for years to come.

Our selection of adhesive sealants, primers and accelerators deliver the best of our adhesive technologies for the most demanding marine applications. Choose from fast-cure and UV-resistant adhesive sealants, metal sealants, primers specifically for wood and glass, and much more.
Our selection of specialty sealants ensures performance across nearly any job on your watercraft. Our adhesive sealant family includes polyurethane, silicone, MSP (modified silane polymer) and butyl rubber chemistries suitable for a wide variety of applications and environmental conditions.
For over five decades, 3M™ Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200 has been a trusted, industry standard-setting sealant across a wide range of boat maintenance and repair jobs. This tough and flexible polyurethane polymer adhesive and sealant forms permanent, waterproof bonds to wood, gelcoat, fiberglass and more. Excellent for use below the waterline, it is especially effective on through-hull fittings, transoms, bilge areas and other applications where leakage is not an option. Above the waterline 5200 is excellent for interior panel bonding and sealing. It applies without mixing, fills gaps and delivers long working times for precise application and performance. It resists vibration, swelling, shock and shrinkage to maintain a solid, uniform bond and seal.
