The new 3M™ Cold Shrink QS4 Integrated Splice Kit is a premier offering that utilizes our field-proven 3M™ Cold Shrink QS-III Splice Body with additional features that make installation quick and easy. This exciting product integrates all of the layers of a shielded power cable splice into one compact joint.
With this splice, 3M is introducing our easy-to-use yellow core and rejacketing tube. We incorporated our smooth-edged shield sock (non-fraying ends) with optional customizable ground braid. The Tape Shielded (TS) inline splice kits below are designed for joining Tape Shield, Wire Shield, UniShield® and Longitudinally Corrugated (LC) power cables. The splice includes a separate 7 AWG U-shaped ground braid that can be attached to the shield with a constant force spring for external grounding. Note: Cable sizes shown below are for standard insulation thickness. Final determining factor is cable insulation O.D. *If using a 3M™ Shearbolt Connector QCI Series for 500 kcmil to 500 kcmil splices, use the QS4-15TS-QCI-500-750 kit or the QS4-15TS-500-1000 kit with the QCI 350-750 connector purchased separately.
