3M™ Conformable Bonding Tape 5074 is a 2.0 mm thick, black, double-sided automotive wire harness assembly tape designed to bond to rough or highly irregular surfaces, or in sealing and other applications where a highly conformable tape is required.
Developed using 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape technology, 3M™ Conformable Bonding Tape 5074 bonds to rough or highly irregular surfaces without special surface treatment. The high molecular weight acrylic material construction helps reduce staining on bonded surfaces. This tape exhibits excellent initial adhesion and static performance against substrates with uneven surfaces. It is heat and solvent resistant. 3M Conformable Bonding Tape 5074 demonstrates ease of cutting, wet out and good workability due to its high tape modulus. It is a great solution for securing wire harnesses to headliners, attaching interior trim and bonding impact relaxation pads to door panels.
