3M™ Expantrol Flexible Intumescent Strip E-FIS is an intumescent tape designed to seal the air spaces between doors, frames and glass to help prevent the spread of fire, smoke, toxic gases and other byproducts from penetrating into adjacent areas. Intumescent material expands and forms a hard char when exposed to heat. This flexible, conformable strip can be quickly cut to required sizes.

This convenient rolled strip can be easily cut to fit a range of applications without special tools, saving time and money. The re-enterable adherent surface supports material that is designed to expand when exposed to intense heat — effectively sealing the gaps in door frames and glazing applications. This material forms a hard char that continues to resist fire and forms a smoke seal, helping eliminate the spread of smoke and other toxic byproducts during and after a fire.
