We balance 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Core Splice Film AF 3002 properties to provide excellent performance with easy-to-use shop handling characteristics. Our heat-curing, easy handling film is designed to meet numerous customer specs in aerospace manufacturing and MRO. Its expansion (35 – 55%) allows for successful joining of mismatched honeycomb structures, and its low sag during cure helps eliminate the need for rework.

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Core Splice Film AF 3002 will cure through a range of temperatures from 250-350°F (121-177°C). This variable cure rate, combined with the film's easy handling, gives you flexibility to design efficient processes.

Our thermally cured epoxy core splice film provides reliable strength at a precise thickness and creates clean, sharp bond lines, which helps predict and control final weight of components, vital in aircraft manufacturing. 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Core Splice Film AF 3002 is solvent based yet dry-to-the-touch, making it more efficient and easy to handle, not to mention a much cleaner operation.
