Great for Strong Attachment of Lightweight Trim and Moldings
3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 5392FLR is ideal for attaching lighter moldings, trims, nameplates and emblems to automotive surfaces. This OEM attachment tape features two different adhesives applied to a thin acrylic foam core. The liner-side adhesive delivers very high initial and final adhesion for traditional and modern automotive paint systems. The non-liner-side adhesive is excellent for bonding to automotive trim and other components. The .5 mm viscoelastic foam core is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. The gray color of 3M™Acrylic Foam Tape 5392FLR gives a pleasing bond line aesthetic. A red polyester liner printed with the 3M logo enhances die-cutting, and provides easy one-piece release for efficient application.
3M recommends the use of 3M™ Adhesion Promoter for tape-to-part adhesion with 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape 5392FLR on all parts, especially plastics such as RIM, TPO, PPO, PP and PC.
