3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape EX4015

Our 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape EX4015 is developed specifically for attaching exterior trim and other parts to automotive paint surfaces. It features two different adhesives applied to an acrylic foam core. The inconspicuous black color of 3M Acrylic Plus Tape EX4015 helps ensure high satisfaction among consumers.

1. 3M Branded liner
Easy to identify, difficult to imitate: The red, 3M branded liner on 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tapes allows customers to quickly confirm that they are receiving the 3M quality they expect from their purchase.

2. Liner side adhesive
The liner side adhesive is formulated for very high initial and final adhesion for scratch- and mar-resistant medium surface energy (MSE) paint systems.

3. Viscoelastic acrylic foam core
Exclusive to 3M, the acrylic foam core of 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tapes is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains consistent bondline aesthetics under normal stress loads. The viscoelastic acrylic foam core adapts well to complex shapes, and features excellent wet-out properties.

4. Non-liner side adhesive
The non-liner side is designed for high initial adhesion to surfaces such as powder coats, as well as high adhesive build and final adhesion to a range of rigid clear coats, plastics and other common materials used for automotive parts. Primer is required on low surface energy plastics.
