3M™ Twin Axial PCI X16 Extender Assemblies Gen 4.0 allow for extremely versatile routing and configuration while maintaining signal strength, especially in system designs with challenging board patterns. Ideal for PCIe® (85 ohm) 4.0 applications, 3M X16 extenders with flexible, foldable thin ribbon cables add design capability with more efficient cable management. They also help maximize airflow for better thermal management in high-performance architectures without adding space.

    Featuring precision-formed, continuously laminated shields over the entire cables, 3M™ Twin Axial PCI X16 Extender Assemblies Gen 4.0 provides an extremely tight bend radius to flat cabling. Cables can be folded back on themselves while maintaining high-bandwidth, resonance-free signal integrity. More cable can be installed in smaller spaces, making it possible to add performance without rigid PCB and high-loss flex circuit assemblies, PCI Express re-timer chips and other costly and design-limiting solutions.

    3M X16 extenders allow components to be configured for aesthetics, for functionality and for maximized airflow in small spaces. Technicians can offload signals from high-speed architectures, re-locate PCIe card slots, bridge between slots on two different PCBs, or place PCIe peripheral cards in virtually any orientation within a system chassis. 3M™ Twin Axial PCI X16 Extender Assemblies Gen 4.0 are also excellent for managing board space in dense server designs.
