3M™ Twin Axial PCI X16 Extender Assemblies Gen 4.0 allow for versatile routing while maintaining signal integrity even in dense servers and other applications with challenging board layouts and space constraints. Ideal for PCIe® (85 ohm) 4.0 applications, the 3M Twinax X16 extender with flexible, foldable, thin 3M TwinAx PCIe cable adds design capability with more efficient cable management. 3M TwinAx X16 assembly also helps maximize airflow for better thermal management in high-performance architectures without adding space.

As demand for high-performance grows for data centers and beyond, longer cable length and higher signal loss become unacceptable. 3M™ Twin Axial PCI X16 Extender Assemblies Gen 4.0 feature 3M™ TwinAx Cable technology – an extremely tight bend radius allows for the extension cable to be folded in various ways while maintaining high-bandwidth, resonance-free signal integrity. With more cable in smaller spaces, it is now possible to add performance without rigid PCBs, high-loss flex circuit assemblies, PCI Express re-timer chips and other costly and design-limiting solutions. The 3M TwinAx X16 assemblies allow designers to help extend signals in high-speed architectures: re-locate PCIe card slots, bridge between slots on two different PCBs, or place PCIe peripheral cards in virtually any orientation within a system chassis.
