3M™ 8459 Cold Shrink Shield Adapter Kit is designed to provide sealing and grounding applications on longitudinally corrugated, conventional tape, wire and UniShield® power cables. It is rated for 5 to 8 kV and 600 amps cables. This kit offers resistance to acids, alkalis, ozone, ultraviolet light and fungus.
3M™ 8459 Cold Shrink Shield Adapter Kit includes 1 cold shrink sealing tube, 3 mastic sealing strips, 1 constant force spring, 1 pre formed, unique, integrated ground braid/bleeder wire, 1 strip semi conductive tape and 1 instruction sheet. It is compatible with semi conducting insulation shields and cable jackets. This flexible adapter kit maintains the pressure even after years of aging and exposure. It is water resistant, making it ideal for use with loadbreak elbows and dead front modular splices and other accessories. ANSI Certified.
