Throughout the year, designers and creative thinkers from all over the world gather at various events on all continents to exchange ideas and learn about the latest trends in architecture, interior design, product design, graphic design, digital experience, innovation, and so on.
When these conversations are happening, we want to be there to open creative opportunities to the world of 3M Design. Because so many of our solutions are embedded in the functionality of thousands of other products, it’s not uncommon for many visitors to the brand activations we’ve created to be surprised by how much (and how often!) 3M innovation and design touch their lives every day.
We’ve created multiple interactive opportunities for people to gain deeper understanding of how design can help translate our materials, products, technologies and innovative culture into new solutions. Recent activations feature significant moments in the history of 3M’s product development and, despite the breadth of products in our displays, we’re often highlighting just a sample or our more than 45 proprietary technologies.
From Tokyo Design Week in Japan to Milan Design Week in Italy to South by Southwest Interactive in Austin, TX , our aim is always to surprise and delight as we immerse visitors in the 3M brand experience.
This may be in the form of new architectural finishes in Tokyo that inspire transformation of interior design spaces the world over. Or garments that glow in the face of flash photography in Milan. Or a unique outdoor tent space in Austin constructed with 3M materials that reimagine the color of natural light as a ceiling kaleidoscope that celebrates creativity.
Through the creative design of brand experience, we are able to bring 3M’s innovative culture to life while inviting visitors to open their minds and come be part of our story.
