3M Design has partnered with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) on several programs to engage art and design students and foster learning. We’ve co-led interactive classes to guide students in the translation of trends into products and experiential design, while working with 3M brands and consumer product portfolios. This partnership enables the students to explore new ways to build upon our strong foundation of innovation while inspiring creative solutions for the future.
We connected with students at the Fashion School at Politecnico University in Milan, Italy to tap into cutting-edge talent and lend new perspective on visual communication around the unique power of 3M technologies including 3M™Thinsulate™ Platinum Insulation, 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material, and 3M™ Scotchgard™ Protector. Called Project INSPIRE, this program focused on integration of our technologies with key behavioral insights, including bodymapping to optimize comfort, performance and range of motion and biomimicry, an innovative approach that gleans insights from nature to inform design and functionality.
