After Installation Product Care Instructions
Now that you have had your windows tinted, paint protection film applied or vehicle wrapped, find directions on caring for the products.
Window Tint

Product Care Guide for Window Tint
- To ensure that our product performs for as long as possible, follow these instructions below:

- Give the 3M™ Window Tint time to bond to the window. To ensure product adheres properly, DO NOT open/close your windows or clean your windows for at least 48 hours after installation.
- When cleaning, use only a soft sponge or cloth (no brush). A soft microfiber towel is recommended for drying.
- Only use clean water. Sand and other dust particles from dirty water may scratch the window tint.
- The regular PH neutral cleaners that are commercially available can be used as long as they do not contain abrasives. We recommend using Meguiar’s brand window cleaning products.
- Note: Because installation companies often do not have dust-free areas available, small dust inclusions are unavoidable.

- To ensure that our product performs for as long as possible, follow these instructions below:

- Cleanliness is Key – Wipe off any fuel spills immediately to avoid degrading the vinyl and adhesive. Then, hand wash, rinse and dry as soon as possible.
- Give Your Car a Loving Home – Store your wrapped vehicle indoors, in a shaded area, or under a cover whenever possible. Storage will help preserve and protect the film from heat and UV exposure.
- Spot Treat Stains – Soften difficult contaminants, like tree sap, by soaking them for several minutes with hot, soapy water. Then, rinse thoroughly and dry. Do not use rough scrubbing or abrasive tools, which will scratch the film.
- Hand Washing is Best – Hand wash your vehicle whenever possible (think of it as a spa day for your car). If you must send it through the car wash, choose the touchless option as brush car washes may dull and scratch the film as well as lift the edge of the graphics. Do not wash for first 72 hours after installation.
- Giving your vehicle proactive love and attention will keep your wrap looking its best for years down the road, ensuring that you’ll always be ready for the spotlight

- Follow these instructions to ensure the 3M™ Protection Wrap Film performs for as long as possible:
- Cleanliness is Key – Immediately wipe off any fuel spills to prevent degradation of the film and adhesive. Next, hand wash and dry the film as soon as possible.
- Give Your Car a Loving Home – Store your wrapped vehicle indoors, in a shaded area, or, cleaned under a cover when possible. Such storage will help preserve and protect the film from heat and UV exposure.
- Spot Treat Stains – Clean bird droppings, tar, and bugs off the film as soon as possible to avoid staining or damage. Soften difficult contaminants, like tree sap, by soaking them in hot, soapy water. Then rinse and dry the film thoroughly. Do NOT use rough scrubbing or abrasive tools, as these will scratch the film.
- Hand Washing is Best – Do NOT wash the vehicle until at least 72 hours after installation. Hand wash the vehicle whenever possible. If the vehicle must go through a car wash, choose a touchless option since brush car washes may dull and scratch the film and/or lift the edge of the film.
- Giving your vehicle proactive attention and care will keep your wrap looking its best for years down the road, ensuring that you’ll always be ready for the spotlight.
