Non-enriched, boron-specific neutron-absorbing solutions include 3M™ Advanced Metal Matrix Composites (AMMC) – highly dense, minimally porous materials featuring excellent clad-to-core bonding and dramatically lower water absorption vs. previous generation of 3M Boral composites.
We continue to develop some of the latest advancements in nuclear reactor technology, and 3M™ Castable Ceramics are at the forefront. Customizable, chemically bonded phosphate ceramics are applicable for nuclear criticality control, solidification, waste remediation and neutron shielding.
