3M™ Splicing Tape 4240, Clear, 0.11 mm bonds well to polyolefin substrates such as polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP), and can be used for splicing or as a tabbing tape to the polyethylene film liner of 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape used for automotive exterior trim attachment. This ensures a reliable means of liner removal in a production environment.
Consisting of a rubber resin adhesive on a polyester backing, 3M™ Splicing Tape 4240, Clear, 0.11 mm withstands heat during high-temperature masking operations. The polyester backing is an exceptionally thin backing that resists tears, abrasion and the effects of aging. Polyester-backed tape allows you to splice, insulate, reinforce, protect and seal.
