Heat Resistant Material
Whether you are looking to replace a worn out pad or add a new one, 3M™ File Belt Sander Attachment Arm Platen Pad Material will help your tool work at its fullest potential. These pads are easily adhered to the top or bottom of your 3M™ File Belt Sander Attachment Arm to provide a firm, supporting surface for the abrasive belt. This pad is designed to run smoothly against the back of the belt without creating excess heat. Such heat could cause damage to the tool, warp the work piece or even break the belt.

Get the Perfect Fit
This platen pad material comes in different densities and thicknesses for various applications. Dense, thin pads provide a more firm sanding surface for an aggressive cut, while softer, thick pads reduce strain on the user and avoid damaging the work piece. To assure that you get exactly the backing surface you need, this material can also be easily cut in the size and length you are looking for, and the pressure sensitive adhesive backing makes it easy to remove or replace. This gives you ultimate control over how to use the flexible File Belt Sander.
