3M™ Hookit™ Pad is a back-up pad designed for low-speed (maximum 1500 RPM) sanding applications in collision repair. This durable 203 mm (8”) pad features a lightweight yet firm construction with a 15° tapered edge, ideal for flat sanding and for added control around edges. The firm density disc pad faces features our Hookit™ attachment system, affording quick change outs and longer life of our 3M™ Hookit™ Abrasive Discs.

Its firm density foam body provides excellent support for 3M™ Hookit™ abrasive discs (sold separately) and its 15° tapered edge adds control for accurate, consistent flat sanding near the edges of the substrate.
Improved Sanding for Low-Speed Projects

Its pad face features our Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment system for fast, easy disc change outs and longer disc life.

Lightweight, durable and well-balanced, our 3M™ Hookit™ Pad is built for low-speed sanding or grinding applications in collision repair.
About Our Hookit™Attachment System
The Hookit™ hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal and re-attachment clean and easy, and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the full extent of its abrasive life. Hookit™ disc pads have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. Hookit™ disc pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of 3M™ Hookit™ discs to provide a finer finish than adhesive backed discs. The Hookit™ system is designed for work spaces and applications where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris.

Better Science for Better Sanding from 3M
Our Hookit™ Disc Pad is a compact, durable example of how 3M applies science to the lives of auto body technicians and operators. From its taper to its firm density to its Hookit™ attachment system, it helps you get the most out of your operations in collision repair.
