3M™ Air Barrier with Non-Woven Permeable Backing 3015VP-NW is a self-adhered, vapor-permeable membrane designed to prevent water penetration while allowing your building to breathe. This membrane comes with a full coat of acrylic adhesive, with adhesion increasing over time before resulting in strong and long-lasting bonds; it also provides compatibility with most substrates, including concrete, concrete block, anodized aluminum, galvanized metal, plywood, and most exterior-grade fiberglass mat gypsum boards. 3M™ Air Barrier with Non-Woven Permeable Backing 3015VP-NW's non-woven design is engineered to provide exacting control over moisture, air, and vapor. Additionally, it is resistant to UV exposure for up to 9 months.

Namely, it eliminates the need for a primer on most construction surfaces, reducing the number of steps required to apply and helping to save the installer time. It is also lightweight — with a 29.5 in x 100 ft roll weighing approximately 28–30 lbs — which enables single-person installation. Furthermore, this membrane functions in varied climates, capable of being applied at surface temperatures ranging between 0 °F (-18 °C) and 150 °F (66 °C), while delivering a service temperature range from -40 °F (-40 °C) to 210 °F (99 °C). 3M™ Air Barrier with Non-Woven Permeable Backing 3015VP-NW passes the AAMA 711-22 section 5.2 for water penetration around fasteners.
