3M™ Electrically Conductive Gasket Tape MSG7000SDX Series is a highly compressible gasket material that combines foam, fabric and adhesive for consistent and reliable conductivity even in dense or complex electrical systems. It is ideal for gap filling, ESD grounding, close conductive enclosures and for applications requiring excellent EMI shielding performance even through the bond lines. 3M tape MSG7000SDX series provides very low contact resistance even at very small die cut sizes.

Product construction

3M™ Electrically Conductive Gasket Tape MSG7000SDX Series consists of compressible, conductive, Cu/Ni plated polyurethane foam laminated with a conductive fabric for conformability and mechanical stability. It features a transparent conductive acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive (CPSA) for a strong bond and high EMI shielding performance even through adhesive bond lines. Conductive gasket material is available in 8 thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 3 mm.

    Force displacement resistance

    The Force-Displacement-Resistance (FDR) is useful for determining if a conductive gasket will meet an application's resistance target based on the gap size and force used. The resistance decreases as force increases. Note: Resistance performance can vary based on product thickness.

    Shielding effectiveness

    The high conductivity of 3M™ Electrically Conductive Gasket Tape MSG7000SDX Series’ conductive foam leads to high shielding effectiveness allowing users to seal bond lines effectively.

  • Compression set

    A small compression set is ideal for relative consistent performance over time for gap filling applications. 3M™ Electrically Conductive Gasket Tape MSG7100SDX shows ~9% compression set when compressed to 50% of its original thickness at elevated temperatures for 24 hours. Compression set values should be used in combination with the gap size and percent compression used to determine performance.
