3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape Extended Liner 465XL is a 2 mil (0.05 mm) thick, general-purpose tape that combines the adhesive versatility of 3M Tapes with liners wider than the adhesive — leaving an easy-to-lift edge for convenient liner removal. Utilizing a 60# densified kraft tan liner with green print, this tape immediately bonds on contact for a tight hold. With the added benefit of medium adhesion to HSE (high surface energy) surfaces and low adhesion to LSE (low surface energy) surfaces, 3M™ Adhesive Transfer Tape Extended Liner 465XL excels in applications such as sealing flaps on overnight envelopes, pressure-sensitive edging on business forms, and general commercial joining applications.
The 3M™ Extended Liner Tape portfolio offers a number of adhesive solutions for both high and low-surface energy substrates, including coated and uncoated papers, films, plastics, foams, and metals. A variety of release liner materials are also available, including densified kraft, extensible kraft, and kraft glassine. These rolls of pressure-sensitive adhesive are pre-applied to a special release liner, consisting of adhesive only — without any type of backing material. During application, the tape is positioned — adhesive side down — to a surface and the liner is removed, exposing the backside of the adhesive to the joining surface.
