What makes 3M™ Automotive Reflective Polarizer stand out from comparable 3M™ Reflective Polarizers? It’s tested for durability against higher levels of cold, heat, humidity and thermal shock.
3M™ Automotive Reflective Polarizer (ARP) is a polymer-based multilayer optical film with polycarbonate laminated to both sides that manages polarization of light output in the backlight of an LCD. It is an automotive reflective polarizer film that improves polarization efficiency by transmitting one polarization state and reflecting the other, recycling light back into the system, which increases brightness over a wide viewing angle. This increase in efficiency can be used to offset thermal load and more in automotive LCD applications.
We combine functional layers to create one powerful solution.

Films with polarization control from 3M transmit the polarization of light that an LCD uses and reflect the polarization state it doesn‘t back into the backlight where it bounces and returns. Some of this light has changed polarization and is transmitted to the LCD, resulting in less wasted light and a more efficient display.
3M™ Automotive Reflective Polarizer is a loose film versus solutions that are directly laminated to an LCD panel.
Did you know select 3M™ Automotive Reflective Polarizer products are made with recycled plastics? That means more sustainable screens are possible when you choose 3M.
