These vitrified bonded wheels combine the advantages of two key technologies, 3M™ Cubitron™ II precision shaped grain and our NA series grits, resulting in high performance roughing and finishing grinding steps for gear parts.
Requiring lower dressing time and providing longer intervals between dressing, they help to significantly decrease related dressing costs, cycle times during both roughing and the last step of the threaded gear parts finishing process, which can help to save substantial costs. They consistently perform well in terms of ffα values (profile errors) and provide good surface quality with very low Rz and Ra values.
