3M™ Glass Cloth Electrical Tape 79 is a printable tape used in coils/transformers and motor applications. It includes an outer wrap for bobbin wound coils, banding arbor wound coils, lead pad hold downs, end turns and lead anchors, as well as connections. This tape is 600V rated and withstands a temperature range of 32 to 302 °F (0 to 150 °C).

3M™ Tape 79 has a pressure sensitive, acrylic adhesive that offers optimized adherence and resists edge tears. This conformable tape is solvent resistant and has a glass cloth backing that will not shrink, burn or rot while ensuring maximum stability. The printable tape is designed for banding and strapping applications. It provides excellent absorption of varnishes and resin. UL Listed and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant.
