3M™ Dyneon™ Cure-in-Place Gasket CIPG 1951 is designed for use as a seal or barrier material between the plates of phosphoric acid fuel cells (PAFC). The product is a roll material consisting of a PTFE film backing with a fluoroelastomer adhesive. Once applied to the substrate, the material is cured in place by heat.
Reducing cost per kilowatt and improving durability - particularly at elevated temperatures - are essential to the widespread adoption of fuel cell technology. 3M™ Dyneon™ Cure-in-Place Gasket CIPG 1951 can help fuel cell designers and manufacturers extend fuel cell service life, while achieving greater manufacturing efficiencies, to reduce costs. Dyneon CIPG 1951 is a silicone-free, heat and chemical resistant roll material consisting of a PTFE film backing and a fluoroelastomer adhesive that can be used as a seal or gas permeation barrier between the various layers of phosphoric acid fuel cells (PAFC). When applied to a substrate and cured, Dyneon CIPG 1951 creates a smooth, flat surface, allowing a level fuel stack.
