Controlled Unwinding of Attachment Tapes
Designed to help double-linered tapes roll off smoothly, our 3M™ Flange Unwind Assembly helps reduce "telescoping" of the tape. Telescoping occurs when the tape layers start sliding sideways - creating a telescope or funnel shape - which can lead to productivity loss and material waste. Our unwind assembly keeps tape rolling in a controlled manner while the liner is removed. The unwind assembly is often mounted on the 3M™ Double Unwind Stand with the 3M™ T-Liner Strip-Off Tool (both sold separately)
Recommended Tapes for Use with Unwind Assembly
Use with 3M™ Acrylic Foam and Acrylic Plus Tapes with T-Liners. You may load multiple rolls of tape on one unwind assembly. To make operations easier for the technicians, the unwind assembly has an adjustable tension control.
