3M™ Tape Application Monitor makes sure Scotch® Box Sealing Tape is properly sealing cartons. The monitor can tell when tape was not applied at all, when tape was not cut and when the tape supply roll is running low, which helps reduce downtime and maintain closure quality. It monitors tape application in semi-automatic and fully automatic case sealing operations.

Monitors Your Process to Detect Sealing Problems
The 3M™ Tape Application Monitor can watch your machines 24 hours a day so you don’t have to. It can identify three different conditions that need to be addressed: tape did not apply to the box, tape did not get cut and tape supply roll is low. The monitor detects proper application of Scotch® Box Sealing Tape to boxes and stops the machine when the tape is not providing a proper seal. If the case sealer stops, the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) displays an error code and flashing LED until the operator corrects the condition. It attaches easily to your 3M-Matic™ Case Sealer without interfering with taping head removal.
