The 3M™ Center Water Feed Disc Hand Pad Replacement Sponge fits 3M Center Water Feed Stikit™ or Hookit™ Hand Pads to keep the work surface damp without significant water run-off while sanding. This pad supplies the proper amount of water for wet sanding of plastics, primer surface, paint, and fiberglass. The water washes the sanding residue off the sanding disc which keeps the disc from loading.

3M™ Center Water Feed Disc Hand Pad Replacement Sponge
Designed for use with 3-inch x 7/8-inch 3M™ Center Water Feed Disc Hand Pad
High Quality Design
The 3M™ Center Water Feed Disc Hand Pad Replacement Sponge dispenses water to the 3M Center Water Feed Disc Hand Pad which keeps the abrasive clean without significant run-off. This replacement part is an essential part of the 3M™ Center Water Feed System which is a great system to use on primers and e-coat on automotive metal.

The sponge holds water to supply in appropriate amounts to the surface, which flushes swarf from the sanding disc, and keeps the disc from loading. 3M pad design dispenses precisely the right amount of water for wet sanding of plastics, primer surface, paint and fiberglass.

Damp Sanding Advantages
Damp sanding minimizes airborne sanding residue, which is contained and wiped off of the coated surface before it settles into hard-to-reach areas. Potential defects and process time are both reduced, and residue does not become airborne and cause contamination during subsequent process steps (such as paint application). The water feed also helps keep the abrasive clean reducing loading and clogging, which extends the life of the abrasive and can help prevent defects from loaded or clogged discs.

3M Science for Better Sanding
The 3M™ Center Water Feed System is another example of how 3M applies science to life. These systems of tools, abrasives and accessories optimized to work together to help you get your job done right.
