Transferring Power to the Paint
The 3M™ Finesse-it™ Contact Disc Pad is part of the 3M™ Finesse-it™ Paint Repair System. It is 1 inch thick with a 5/8-11 inch internal thread, and designed to be used with 5-1/4-inch buff pads or 5-inch Hookit abrasive discs. Use this soft density disc pad with a rotary sander or right angle grinder at a maximum rpm of 7000. Thickness and compressability allows for excellent contouring of the pad to follow panel shapes in buffing and polishing applications, but also "cushions the blow" when sanding metal with fine grade abrasives.

Back-up pads support the disc or buff pad and evenly distribute pressure to the work piece. For best performance and durability, it is important that the appropriate back-up pad be selected.

3M Disc Pads are designed to create the lowest vibration and best sanding performance while using 3M power tool and abrasive accessories.

Finesse-It™ products are an integral part of a 3M recommended buffing system for repairing surface defects to clear coats, lacquered wood, solid surfaces, gelcoat, powder coat, industrial paint, acrylic, and glass.
