  • Packaging
  • Seating attachment
  • Furniture and upholstery
  • Large surface lamination
  • Cubicle, office partition
  • Decoratives

Easy and Accurate Application
3M™ Hot Melt Spray Adhesive 6111HT is ideal for large surface lamination assemblies, such as laminates to table tops, fabric to foam and veneers to furniture and flooring. By simply adding heat, the user can enjoy a strong adhesive that is easily, quickly and accurately applied to one or two surfaces. As an added bonus, adhesion is virtually immediate, with an open time of up to 8 minutes depending on the substrate. It also features high heat resistance for long-lasting, durable bonds in high temperature environments.

Understanding Hot Melt Adhesives
Hot melt adhesives, also known as glue sticks, are liquefied thermoplastic adhesives available in both low and high-temperature versions. Low temperature hot melt adhesives are applied at 250°F/121°C temperatures, which makes them ideal for bonding electronics, plastics, cloth and other heat sensitive materials. High temperature hot melt adhesives are applied at 380°F/193°C and produce a stronger bond than the low temperature hot melts.

Melted adhesive is extruded through a nozzle using a 3M Hot Melt Applicator by either pneumatic pressure, a mechanical trigger mechanism, or with pressure applied directly on the stick.
Melted adhesive is extruded through a nozzle using a 3M Hot Melt Applicator by either pneumatic pressure, a mechanical trigger mechanism, or with pressure applied directly on the stick. Different nozzles can be used to apply thin, wide strips or narrow, thicker beads. Hot melt adhesive generally sets quickly, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the adhesive formulation.
