The Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Bonded Cleaning Brush features a tough, dense web that allows aggressive blending, cleaning and deburring of metals. The web is wrapped around a steel support core, so the brush stays sturdy when run on finishing equipment. This creates a firm support for the softer mesh material that removes surface contaminants without damaging the work piece.

Tough and Flexible
Our Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Bonded Cleaning Brush is made to be your go-to choice for aggressive blending and finishing. This cleaning brush is constructed by stacking a series of circular non-woven discs onto a steel core to make a wide and round brush used for cleaning and finishing applications on wide sheet and coil metal. The core provides durability and long life, while the softer, abrasive infused mesh cuts quickly and evenly. Typical applications for our cleaning brushes include coil cleaning prior to coating, deburring, scale and oxide removal and reclaiming sheet and coil.

Aluminum Oxide Abrasive
This tan bonded cleaning brush uses aluminum oxide abrasive, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives, such as garnet, quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing use. Aluminum oxide is suitable on a wide variety of substrates in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Note: When ordering a bonded construction cleaning brush, please allow an additional 1-1/4" to provide clearance for the 5/8" lock collars located at both ends of the brush. For instance, if you require 40" of usable brush width, order a 40" wide brush. This brush, however, when measured at the core will actually be 41-1/4" including the lock collars.
