3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Primer EW-5005 is a sprayable, water-based, non-chromated structural adhesive aerospace primer designed to meet key industry screening requirements. This high-performance bond primer provides durable protection, promotes adhesion at the substrate interface and inhibits corrosion within and outside the bondline.
How it works with 3M™ Structural Adhesives
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Primers are designed to complement the Scotch Weld™ Structural Adhesives portfolio. In combination with 3M™ Surface Pre-Treatment AC-130-2, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Primer EW-5005 facilitates consistent "wet-out" of the primary adhesive film to the substrate and enhance chemical resistance upon curing. Adhesive primers prepare the surfaces for the bonding agents so that the adhesives are more effective and create stronger, longer-lasting bonds.
