Scotch Vinyl Color Coding Electrical Tape 35 is a versatile, premium-grade marking solution for harsh and demanding electrical and mechanical applications. With a sturdy 7 mil (0.178 mm) thickness, this fade-resistant tape excels in wire and phase identification, motor lead color coding, piping system organization, and safety zone marking. Engineered for reliability, it handles applications up to 600V and endures temperatures from 14 °F to 221 °F (-10 °C to 105 °C), delivering consistent results when you need them the most. Its resistance to fading (the product in white is fully UV-resistant) and fluctuating weather conditions helps give long-lasting performance in a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial operations. Scotch® Vinyl Color Coding Electrical Tape 35 and the other products in this family are designed to address the daily challenges customers face in the industry. Through innovation and rigorous testing, 3M is committed to delivering high-performance products that help customers enhance application efficiency and effectiveness, featuring aggressive backings and adhesives designed to withstand challenging temperatures and environments where moisture may be present. For best application practices, apply in half-lapped layers with enough tension to create a uniform wrap. For most applications, this tension will reduce the tape width to approximately 5/8 of its original size. When taping pigtail splices, wrap the tape beyond the ends of the wires and then fold it back to provide a protective cushion against cut-through. For the final wrap, apply the tape without tension to help prevent flagging. Discover how Scotch® Vinyl Color Coding Electrical Tape 35 can enhance the performance of your electrical applications.
