2234 is engineered to help restore the protective outer jacket on industrial cables exposed to abrasion, impact, and wear.
Formulated to withstand a wide range of installation and service conditions.
Designed to adhere to a broad range of cable jacket materials commonly found in commercial and industrial operations.
Scotch® 2234 is designed to help repair scratched, nicked, or partially missing cable jackets on industrial cables such as portable power cables, draglines, locomotive cables, welding leads, and shipboard cables.
Its tough, abrasion-resistant backing may be used to reinforce areas exposed to repeated impact, flexing, or surface wear—helping reduce downtime and extend service life.
The mastic layer helps provide a moisture-resistant seal that protects repaired jackets from environmental exposure, helping prevent further degradation.
Scotch® Tape 2234 is a 60 mil thick, professional grade mastic tape designed for jacket repair on cables such as portable power cables, draglines and diesel locomotive, welding and shipboard cables. It withstands a wide temperature range of 22 to 221 °F ( 30 to 105 °C).
