Fabrics, wallpaper, wood floors, photos and other valuables can easily fade when unfiltered sun shines through your windows. 3M™ Envision™ Window Films help protect your valuables from the three primary causes of fading.
Working on a computer or watching TV in a sunlit room is frustrating. By significantly reducing glare from windows, 3M™ Envision™ Residential Window Films can help you relax and work more efficiently - even in full sunlight - without eyestrain.
When sunlight enters a room, the temperature rises and your air conditioning starts working harder. By blocking up to 67% of the sun's heat, 3M™ Envision™ Residential Window Films help keep temperatures moderate and comfortable with less help from your air conditioner.
3M window film helps block UV rays. The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends the use of window film for residential and commercial buildings due to its properties that screen out UV rays.
3M™ Envision™ Residential Window Films help your rooms stay at a more even, moderate temperature, which allows your air conditioning system to work more efficiently and helps reduce energy costs.
From break-and-enter crimes to accidents and natural disasters, 3M™ Envision Safety & Security Window Films help deter unwanted individuals from entering your home and hold broken glass in place to protect your family and belongings.

Window films (also called window tint) are a type of window treatment that offer a wide range of potential including: improved comfort, fade protection, energy savings, privacy and reduced glare. They can be used with or without other window treatments. Window films are typically applied on the windows and glass surfaces in homes, buildings and cars by trained professionals.
Window films range in color from dark to clear to multicolored and come in various patterns. Window films basically consist of three parts: laminated polyester layers, coatings with adhesive and a protective hardcoat.
Visible light Transmitted (VLT): The percentage of visible light that passes directly through filmed glass: the higher the number, the lighter the film.
Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER): The percentage of total solar energy rejected by filmed glass. The higher this value, the less solar heat energy is transmitted by the filmed glass.
Visible light Reflection: The percentage of visible light reflected back from the glass.
UV Rejection: The percentage of ultraviolet light that is rejected by filmed glass. Ultraviolet light contributes to sunburn and other harmful skin conditions from the sun and to the fading and deterioration of fabrics and leather. The higher the number, the more UV rays are blocked.
Glare Reduction: The percentage by which visible light is reduced by the addition of film.
