How 3M™ Cooling Film works:
When you apply 3M™ Cooling Film to the roof of a vehicle, it helps reduce heat buildup at the source.
- Its highly reflective surface deflects more than 85% of incoming solar energy, limiting how much heat reaches the vehicle below
- The film also has high thermal emissivity – over 91% in the atmospheric window – which dissipates absorbed heat away from the surface and back to the cooler sky
This creates passive cooling to keep interiors cooler without external power.
