As part of this transformation we are implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which will allow for streamlined transactions with you. We have gained significant experience from implementing this in more than 20 countries over the past few years and are excited to do the same in the US. We are implementing in a phased approach, starting with ordering and transactional activities, followed by distribution centers, and ending with our manufacturing plants.
3M completed an important phase in our 3M ERP deployment with our order entry systems and one of our distribution centers in DeKalb, Illinois (DK6). With this completed, we are continuing with our phased approach to deploy other facilities.
Our next planned deployment is our Consumer Business distribution center in DeKalb, Illinois (DKC) scheduled for Nov. 5, 2018.
