What causes most eye injuries? Flying particles. Per the Department of Labor Statistics, almost 70% of eyes injuries resulted from flying or falling objects or sparks striking the eye*. Injured workers estimated that nearly three-fifths of the objects were smaller than a pinhead. Contact with chemicals caused one-fifth of the injuries. It is important to choose the right type, and properly-fitting eye protection. 3M is here to help.
