Our 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tape EX4008T (PDF, 159.30 Kb)is developed specifically for attaching automotive exterior trim parts such as stone chip moldings, fender moldings and wheel arch extensions to a range of traditional and modern paint systems. It features two different adhesives applied to a durable black .76 mm acrylic foam core. The liner side adhesive is ideal for bonding to rigid clear coat systems. The non-liner-side adhesive provides very high initial adhesion especially on powder coated paint. The foamed acrylic adhesive core adapts well to complex shapes, and features excellent wet-out properties as well as stress relaxation during high loads. The inconspicuous black color of 3M Acrylic Plus Tape EX4008T helps ensure high satisfaction among consumers. A removable 2 mil polyethylene liner is coated on one side with silicone on one side, making it suitable for heat-bonding and other PSA tabbing methods.
